Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

This policy explains what information is handled when you use toysoccercup.com and the Toy Soccer Cup game (the "Service"), plainly and without incomprehensible small print. The Service is aimed at the general public and is suitable for minors, so we apply a basic principle: collect the bare minimum.

1. Controller

Toy Soccer Cup (independent project). Contact for any privacy matter: toysoccercup@gmail.com.

2. What data we handle (and what we don't)

We don't require registration: we don't ask for your real name, email, phone, address or any identifying data. Specifically:

DataStored whereWhat for
Game progress (coins, cups, stickers, settings)On your own device (browser local storage)Continue the game where you left off
Chosen nickname and avatar + a random identifierOn our serverRankings, duels and progress recovery
Scores and resultsOn our serverLeaderboards and ghost duels
Technical logs (IP, date, requested resource)Server / Cloudflare, temporarilySecurity, abuse prevention and operation

The nickname passes a filter to block offensive content or obvious personal data, and the game has no free chat between players.

3. Minors

The Service is suitable for minors. That's exactly why we don't collect identifying personal data, there's no free messaging, and ad rewards are always voluntary. We recommend minors play with their parents' or guardians' awareness; if you are a parent or guardian and want us to delete the nickname or scores linked to your child's game profile, write to us and we will.

4. Advertising and cookies

The Service is funded by advertising served by third parties (Google AdSense / Ad Manager / H5 Games Ads). These providers may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads and measure their performance. Before loading advertising, a consent management platform (CMP) is shown where you can accept or reject the use of data for personalised ads; if you reject it, advertising will be contextual. More detail, including how to withdraw consent, in the cookie policy. Google's information on data use: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Legal basis

We process technical and game data under legitimate interest (providing and protecting the Service), and personalised advertising only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the CMP.

6. Retention

Local progress stays on your device until you clear your browser data. Inactive game profiles and their scores may be deleted periodically. Technical logs are kept for the minimum time needed for security.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to toysoccercup@gmail.com (state your game nickname). You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date on this page. Significant changes will be announced on the website.

5. The apps (Google Play and App Store)

The Google Play and App Store versions of the game show advertising through Google AdMob. Ads are shown only while a match is being played. After the tutorial the game asks for your year of birth on a neutral screen; we store only the resulting age band, never the year itself. Players who declare they are adults may receive personalised advertising, which uses the device advertising identifier. Children, teenagers and anyone whose age is unknown receive contextual advertising only, and their advertising identifier is not transmitted.

On iPhone and iPad, iOS asks for its own permission before the advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used, through the system dialog known as App Tracking Transparency. We only show that dialog to players who have declared they are adults: children and players of unknown age are never asked, and their identifier is never requested. If you decline, the game works exactly the same and the advertising is simply not personalised.

The app asks for no permissions beyond internet access: no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone. Note that the advertising provider may infer an approximate location (country or city level) from the IP address of your connection, as any internet service can.
